Chiropractic adjustment is a technique used to restore normal joint motion/function specific to levels of the spine and joints of the extremities. Benefits are improved range of motion and decreased pain levels.
MRT is a manual soft tissue technique used to improve the function of muscles and the surrounding fascia. Similar to deep-tissue massage our practitioners directly treat myofascial dysfunction that may be hindering joint function and causing pain.
IASTM is a tool-based soft tissue therapy used to treat the skin, myofascia, muscles and tendons of the body. The tools conform to different contours of the body and allow for deeper penetration. This technique works by breaking down fascial adhesions and can also decrease the presence of scar tissue.
Cupping is an ancient therapy used for thousands of years for many different conditions. Specialized cups are placed on the affected area in order to draw blood flow. Benefits are reduced pain and inflammation, improved blood flow and lymphatic drainage, improved joint function and healing.
TENS is an electrical stimulation technique that activates specific natural pain relief mechanisms in the body. One mechanism is the pain gate mechanism in which it stimulates the body to reduce transmission of pain-causing stimuli via the nervous system. Another mechanism is via the endogenous release of enkephalins and endorphins which act to reduce pain response.
