IASTM is a tool-based soft tissue therapy used to treat the skin, myofascia, muscles and tendons of the body. The tools conform to different contours of the body and allow for deeper penetration. This technique works by breaking down fascial adhesions and can also decrease the presence of scar tissue.

Cupping is an ancient therapy used for thousands of years for many different conditions. Specialized cups are placed on the affected area in order to draw blood flow. Benefits are reduced pain and inflammation, improved blood flow and lymphatic drainage, improved joint function and healing.

TENS is an electrical stimulation technique that activates specific natural pain relief mechanisms in the body. One mechanism is the pain gate mechanism in which it stimulates the body to reduce transmission of pain-causing stimuli via the nervous system. Another mechanism is via the endogenous release of enkephalins and endorphins which act to reduce pain response.

Your initial appointment includes a thorough history, gait & posture assessment, orthopedic exam and assessment of the joint, nerve & muscle function throughout your body. Your doctor will then discuss your treatment options so you and the doctor may determine the best plan of care specific to your needs and comfort. Treatment included. ~ 1 hour
