Dr. Casey Wood offers a personalized, results-driven approach to chiropractic care rooted in experience, education, and a lifelong connection to the area he calls home.
Born and raised in the South Bay, Dr. Wood brings years of expertise across multiple disciplines to provide the highest quality of care to his patients. Before earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science while playing collegiate volleyball in Missouri. He went on to spend a decade working as a personal trainer, developing a deep understanding of movement, performance, and injury prevention.
This isn’t one-size-fits-all chiropractic. It’s personalized, proactive care designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay pain-free for the long haul.

We have a private gym on-site so you are able avoid having to go through an orthopedist to receive exercise therapy - this can be incorporated into your chiropractic care right in our office.
We use Leander tables which provide flexion-distraction therapy for those suffering from disc herniation and resulting systems such as “sciatica.” We also offer deep tissue massage therapy - whether this is part of your treatment plan or you’re just looking to relax!

Research suggests that the sound heard during a chiropractic adjustment is due to a sudden change in the pressures of the joint space and the resultant release of gasses in that joint. Similar to the sound you hear when popping a balloon.
Chiropractic adjustments are intended to restore normal motion of a particular joint whether that’s in your spine or a joint in your extremities.
A sudden pain in your neck or one you wake up with is usually due to a muscle strain or muscle spasm. There are many muscles throughout your neck working in a complex effort to support the movements of your head and neck as well as your shoulder joints. A strain is usually due to overuse injury or improper use of particular a particular muscle or muscles.
Heating the site of injury is often the first therapy in order to bring blood flow to the area carrying healing properties. If there is significant swelling then the injury is likely more severe and will require medical attention.
Be careful trying to stretch the area as the injury is usually cause by an over stretching of the involved muscle(s). Sometimes stretching actually prolongs recovery. Chiropractic therapy can help to more quickly resolve these injuries via a combination of soft tissue treatment, exercise therapy and chiropractic adjustments.
